USMNT’s Tyler Adams scores outrageous 45-yard goal
The Bournemouth midfielder scored one of the goals of the season in his team’s Premier League loss to Sunderland.

Tyler Adams’ performances with Bournemouth in the Premier League are sending a clear message to Mauricio Pochettino with less than seven months before the start of the 2026 World Cup.
The USMNT midfield continues his improvement with the Cherries under the leadership of Andoni Iraola, who seems to have taken Adams to the next level.
That progress was on show on Saturday with an all-action performance from the former RB Leipzig player. With 15 minutes on the clock against Sunderland Adams scored one of the goals of the season with an audacious long-range strike. The American took advantage of goalkeeper Robin Roefs’ high position and chipped him from 45 yards out, sending the away support into raptures.

Adams’ goal was only his second Premier League goal of the season, following his strike against Manchester City a few weeks ago.
The USMNT’s midfield is one of the areas that is still to be decided for the Argentine coach ahead of the 2026 World Cup. But with the recent form of Adams and Weston McKennie, combined with the progress made by the likes of Sebastian Berhalter and Tanner Tessman, there are now some interesting options for Pochettino.
