Marcus Rashford is enjoying one of his best spells since joining Barcelona. The English forward has made the most of Raphinha’s absence to secure a regular place in Hansi Flick’s starting lineup. He’s currently the team’s top scorer in the Champions League with four goals (two braces), though he’s only found the net once in La Liga. Sunday’s Clásico could be his moment to shine.

In an interview with Barcelona fans on the club’s YouTube channel, Rashford shared his pre-Clásico routine. “Before heading to the stadium, I’ll listen to music on the bus. I wake up about 45 minutes before breakfast, take a shower, and have some oatmeal with eggs. After that, we’ll have a meeting and watch some videos to prepare for the match,” he explained.

The Englishman is clearly motivated ahead of his first Clásico. “I’m really excited because it’s probably the biggest game there is. Plus, I feel like I’m in a good moment. El Clásico is the most-watched game in the world, so it’s hard to pick just one memory. And if you love football, you don’t even have to support either team to enjoy it. El Clásico is pure history,” he said.

Rashford believes Barcelona are on the rise and ready to make an impact at the Bernabéu. A win would not only put them back on top of the table but also give the team a huge confidence boost. “I’d love for us to keep improving and reach our best version. We’ll stay as positive as possible. We’re ready for Sunday. I hope the atmosphere is great—it’ll be important for us to control the game as much as we can. We’ll give everything to get the three points.”

Despite the common perception that English players struggle to adapt abroad, Rashford is thriving in his new environment
