Mexico fans call for coach to go after friendly stalemate
Mexico failed to fire in a goalless draw with Uruguay on Saturday, leading supporters of El Tri to take aim at the boss.

The crowd in Torreón delivered, but Mexico’s national team didn’t, settling for a 0-0 draw against Uruguay.
Frustration boiled over among fans in the Comarca Lagunera, who voiced their displeasure with head coach Javier Aguirre after questionable decisions and a lackluster team performance.
At the final whistle, supporters at the Territorio Santos Modelo booed loudly and even hurled insects toward Aguirre. Meanwhile, social media lit up with criticism of “El Vasco,” with many calling for his dismissal.
Among the names circulating as fan favorites to replace Aguirre are Club América’s André Jardine and Toluca’s Antonio Mohamed - both recent Liga MX champions.

Boos for Rangel
Another target of the crowd’s ire was goalkeeper Raúl Rangel. Despite earning the start, fans had hoped to see Carlos Acevedo between the posts after his strong showings with Santos Laguna and return to the national squad.
What’s next for Mexico?
Mexico now turns its attention to Paraguay in the second match of this international window. Held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, the friendly is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
