Ciudad de México Update:

After several days away, Aaron Ramsey has returned to Pumas’ training facility at Cantera to resume rehabilitation, ending speculation about his whereabouts.

Sources told ESPN that the Welsh midfielder is receiving therapy for a hamstring injury. Ramsey himself shared a photo of his rehab, putting rumors about his absence to rest.

Absence sparks questions

Ramsey had missed recent club sessions due to both his injury and a personal matter, raising questions among fans and media. The player is now back under the supervision of Pumas’ coaching staff, working to regain full fitness.

Pumas head coach Efraín Juárez avoided discussing Ramsey’s whereabouts in recent weeks. “We’re here. I said that on Wednesday. We’ll see what happens in the coming days,” Juárez said without providing further details.

Ramsey’s beloved dog goes missing

Juárez later revealed that Ramsey’s absence was partly related to a personal issue with his dog, in addition to his hamstring injury. The coach emphasized that the club was aware of the situation and remained patient while monitoring Ramsey’s recovery.

It was reported earlier this month that Ramsey’s dog, Halo, had gone missing.

Ramsey took to social media to share the news, posting: “Please help us find Halo. She went missing in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, near Hipsterrir, a local dog shelter.”

He added: “Any information is valuable. Help us bring her back home.”

In a later social-media post, Ramsey offered a $10,000 reward for helping in finding Halo, who still hasn’t been found.

Following the October 22 game against Atlético de San Luis, Juárez declined to comment on Ramsey’s mood but confirmed the midfielder was recovering both physically and emotionally, noting that the club is supporting him through both challenges.

When will Aaron Ramsey play next for Pumas?

Ramsey joined Pumas as one of the first signings for the Apertura 2025 season, making his debut in Week 6 on August 24 against Puebla. In the following match, he scored the winning goal against Atlas, securing Pumas’ only home victory at that point. His last appearance came in Week 11 against América, where he played 60 minutes.

After missing Week 12 and skipping the recent Wales international break, Ramsey returned to Cantera on Monday, October 27 to continue his rehabilitation, with hopes of rejoining the team soon, although no date has been set for his return.
