Update:

Turin was shaken on the second day of the 2025 ATP Finals when two men, aged 70 and 78, died in separate medical emergencies just hours apart.

While Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti battled for their first win in the Jimmy Connors group, where Carlos Alcaraz had defeated Alex de Minaur on the opening day, a 78-year-old man collapsed in the stands. Emergency responders acted immediately, stabilizing him before he was rushed to Molinette Hospital in critical condition. Despite their efforts, he did not survive.

Another medical emergency ends in tragedy nearby

Earlier the same day, a 70-year-old man fell ill in front of the Fan Village at Piazza d’Armi, near the Inalpi Arena. Rescuers arrived quickly and transported him to the hospital still alive, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The twin tragedies have left fans and attendees at the ATP Finals in Turin deeply shaken, casting a somber mood over the tournament.
