Jake Paul lines up latest fight with former heavyweight champion
The Youtuber-turned-boxer had an exhibition fight scheduled with WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, but things have changed.

After the exhibition fight between Jake Paul and lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis fell through – canceled due to a civil lawsuit filed against Davis in Miami-Dade County – the YouTuber-turned-boxer appears to have lined up an even bigger opponent.

According to a report by The Ring’s Mike Coppinger, Paul and Anthony Joshua are finalizing a deal to meet in a heavyweight bout this December in Miami, Florida. The event is expected to stream live on Netflix, though it’s still unclear whether it will be a professional fight or an exhibition.
Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, confirmed that Paul would fight again before the end of the year, further fueling speculation that Joshua will be his next rival. And on Thursday morning Joshua’s promotor Eddie Hearn was on BBC Radio 4 virtually confirming that the “tens of millions of dollars” fight is almost guaranteed, but no ink on the paper yet.

This would be the toughest test in Paul’s short career, as Joshua, has been a two-time heavyweight champion, although he has not stepped into the ring since September 2024, when he suffered a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois.
Joshua, 36, holds a professional record of 28–4 with 25 knockouts. Paul, 28, is riding a six-fight winning streak, boasting a 12–1 record with seven KOs. His most recent victory came by unanimous decision over former WBC middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr. last June.
