Update:

It is not clear whether Kyler Murray will be able to play for the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, as the quarterback recovers from a foot injury.

“We’ll see how it goes”

Murray is listed as questionable on the Cardinals’ injury report for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. The 28-year-old was unable to practice on Wednesday and Thursday, before returning as a limited participant on Friday.

Speaking ahead of Friday’s practice session, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon was non-committal on Murray’s chances of making the Colts clash. Discussing the fitness of the QB and other doubtful players, Gannon told reporters: “They’re all making progress and we’ll see how it goes.”

A No.1 draft pick for the Cardinals in 2019, Murray has not failed to start an NFL game since Week 9 of the 2023 season. In his five appearances so far in 2025, the former Oklahoma Sooner has thrown for 962 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Who would replace Murray?

Should Murray miss out against Indianapolis, backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett is in line to deputize as the Cardinals’ signal caller.

Brissett, who joined the Cardinals on a two-year deal in March, has not started an NFL game since Week 5 of the 2024 season, during a one-year stint with the New England Patriots.

Cardinals injury report vs Colts:

Questionable: Kyler Murray (foot), Zay Jones (knee), Max Melton (hamstring), Cody Simon (knee), Mack Wilson (ankle), Blake Gillikin (back)

Out: Darius Robinson (pectoral)
