Update:

Dallas Cowboys star wideout CeeDee Lamb is inching closer to a return, though his status for Week 6 remains as ‘out’. Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 and has missed the past two games. His absence has left a void in Dallas’s receiving corps, but recent developments hint he may rejoin the lineup sooner than later.

On Wednesday, Lamb emerged from the rehab shadows and was seen working on a side field using resistance cords, a sign his recovery is making visible strides forward. The team has not yet cleared him to practice formally, so his participation in the upcoming fixtures will be monitored day by day.

Cowboys executive Stephen Jones has voiced cautious optimism, suggesting Lamb could return within the next two weeks. That timing most likely aligns with Week 7, depending on how his body responds.

Dallas Cowboys injury list ahead of Week 6

Beyond Lamb, Dallas has endured a mounting injury list: KaVontae Turpin (foot) remains sidelined, while offensive lineman Tyler Smith is dealing with a knee issue; linebacker Jack Sanborn is also out with a concussion.

Unfortunately, it seems like Lamb’s Week 6 availability has been crossed out. Were he able to step up to full practice without setbacks, a return would have become somewhat realistic - this was not the case. As such, the Cowboys will hold off and aim for Week 7.

Through the first three games of the 2025 NFL season, CeeDee Lamb has totaled 16 receptions for 222 yards, averaging nearly 14 yards per catch. The Cowboys’ top receiver opened strong with 110 yards against the Eagles in Week 1, followed by 112 yards versus the Giants in Week 2. However, his momentum was halted in Week 3 against Chicago, where he exited early due to a high-ankle sprain.
