Wedding bells soon? Source reveals Travis Kelce’s proposal plan to Taylor Swift
Fans are anxiously awaiting an engagement, which insiders have said is in the works, but now a source has revealed just when we can expect that to happen.
Last NFL season, there were rumors that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce would propose to his superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift after he won the Super Bowl because what a storybook ending to his career that would be! Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles. There was no proposal.
And Kelce decided against hanging up his cleats just yet, opting to play at least one more season and try to make it all the way to Super Bowl victory in the 2025 season. So what about that proposal?
Kelce’s proposal timeline with Swift revealed
While the couple is in no rush and in fact, insiders say they’re getting a bit tired of feeling pressure to get married, it apparently is in the plans for Kelce and Swift. A source revealed earlier this summer that it’s “100% happening”. It’s just a question of when.
Well, another source answered that question now too, revealing Kelce’s timeline plans. And let’s just say, fans better practice their patience.
“He is likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore and not getting ready for a big NFL season," the source told the Daily Mail.

While 2025 is expected to be Kelce’s last season in the NFL, it’s not a sure thing. He was disappointed in himself for his performance last season and for missing the chance at the historic Super Bowl three-peat. If he has another disappointing season, or if he just feels he still has more to give, he may want to try again in 2026.
If he does announce his retirement at the end of the 2025 season, however, then fans will be anxiously awaiting news of wedding bells in his future instead.
