Update:

The Miami Dolphins landed in Madrid ready for Sunday’s historic NFL regular-season debut in Spain, but it didn’t take long for the team’s cheerleaders to embrace the local culture in the most Spanish way possible.

“When in Spain!” - Dolphins cheerleaders try Flamenco in Madrid

On Friday, the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders posted a TikTok that quickly gained traction, showing the squad learning flamenco steps from local dancers.

In the video, the cheerleaders mimic traditional arm flourishes, footwork, and rhythmic claps, laughing through the learning curve as a Spanish instructor leads them. It’s exactly the type of cultural crossover the NFL hoped for when it brought a marquee matchup to Spain for the first time.

A full day of fan events on Saturday

The Dolphins will face the Washington Commanders on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET), but the fans in Madrid won’t have to wait until kickoff to feel the Dolphins’ presence. Plaza de España will host a full slate of events on Saturday, with appearances, giveaways, mascot shenanigans, celebrity cameos, and even more flamenco later in the evening.

Here’s the full schedule:
