The night Kansas City broke a record – and still walked away beaten
A tight, low-scoring first half set the stage for a nerve-shredding finish decided by special teams.

Denver Broncos pulled out a 22–19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs after a grinding, chaotic first half in which both sides struggled to move the ball and went into the break tied 6–6.
Kicker Wil Lutz became the central figure, hitting five field goals that secured the team’s eighth straight win. That streak is Denver’s longest since 2012.

Mahomes hits Kelce for record
Patrick Mahomes gave Kansas City the lead with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce, the 84th touchdown of Kelce’s career and a new franchise record, surpassing Priest Holmes’s previous mark of 83.
On that same drive, Harrison Butker’s extra point was blocked by Frank Crum. The stop allowed Denver to pull level at 19 with a 54-yard field goal before sealing the game with another kick that set the final score.
Who next for Chiefs and Broncos?
Kansas City now turns toward a matchup against the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. Denver heads into its bye week and will then visit the Washington Commanders on November 30.
