Stephen A. Smith doesn’t hold back on Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones: “Something’s wrong with him”
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has a tendency to make head-scratching comments, and his most recent had Stephen A. Smith questioning his sanity.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just celebrated his 83rd birthday, but it’s not his age that’s making people wonder how “with it” he is. Jones has a history of making head-scratching comments and controversial decisions, and that’s been going on for decades.
The latest to question whether or not Jones is okay mentally is ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith. It’s not often I agree with him, but this one is hard to deny.
Stephen A. Smith questions Jerry Jones’ mental health after defensive comments
On Sunday, the Cowboys lost to the Carolina Panthers, dropping their record to 2-3-1. While quarterback Dak Prescott is having an MVP-caliber season so far and the offense is thriving despite injuries, the defense is one of the worst in the league.
This offseason, Jones enraged Cowboys fans when he refused to negotiate with defensive end Micah Parsons’ agent, resulting in him trading Parsons to the Green Bay Packers instead. That was without a doubt their best pass rusher. Even if Dallas would still struggle with him, there’s really no arguing that they’re worse without him.

And yet...Jones seems to think that Dallas’ pass rush is the best part of the current defense, which ranks as the eighth-worst in the league.
“Where we are potentially our strongest is pass rush,” Jones said, supposedly unironically. “We’ve got the most capable pass rushers that we’ve had. We’ve got the ability to really rotate our players, which is very important at pass rush because you exert more energy there than any place else. So, there’s ways that we can take our personnel and address what happened to us Sunday.”

The Cowboys have allowed the most passing yards (1,1891) this season and are tied for the most passing touchdowns (10) allowed.
Fans aren’t the only ones calling him out - Stephen A. Smith can’t help himself when it comes to ragging on the ‘Boys. After wishing him a happy birthday on ESPN’s “First Take”, Smith immediately stated, “something’s wrong with him.”
“This man will double down with the best of them,” said Smith. “You traded Micah Parsons. Clearly it was not the wisest thing to do. Of course it was going to compromise your pass rush... Total yards - dead last. Scoring - 31st. Passing yards - dead last. Third downs - dead last. The only thing you’re decent at is against the rush, and that’s not decent because you’re 25th.”
Smith went on to say he’s actually told Jones to his face that he’s worried about him. As he mentioned, Jones will double down on his decisions, even when they are clearly bad ones. This is just the latest example, and we really shouldn’t be shocked anymore.
