Ready for Rodgers: This is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2025 NFL preseason schedule
The dates and times of all three of the Steelers’ preseason games, as Pittsburgh prepares for its first campaign with Aaron Rodgers under center.
The countdown to the 2025 NFL season is well underway. The league unveiled its full schedule on Wednesday, May 14, with the season opener set for Thursday, September 4. The defending Super Bowl LIX champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, will host the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field in a marquee NFC East showdown.
When does the 2025 NFL preseason begin?
The preseason kicks off with the annual Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, July 31, featuring the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
For the Steelers, who head into the 2025 campaign bolstered by the addition of four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, this year’s preseason games begin nine days after the Hall of Fame matchup.

Steelers set for NFL first in 2025 regular season
This season, AFC North teams will face opponents from the AFC East and NFC North, with additional matchups against the AFC South, NFC West, and AFC West.
The Steelers will play nine times at Acrisure Stadium this year, as the NFL continues its rotation of the 17th game between home and away each season.
Pittsburgh will make NFL history in Week 4, when they travel to Dublin, Ireland, to face the Minnesota Vikings. The game, part of the 2025 International Series, will be the first-ever regular-season NFL game played in Ireland.
