‘Lamar Jackson Watch’ has been activated once again in Baltimore after the two‑time MVP sat out Wednesday practice with an ankle issue, marking the second consecutive week that he has missed practice time after having to deal with knee soreness last week.

What adds to the anxiety is that Jackson has already been dealing with a string of injuries this season. He missed three games with a hamstring issue and has been sacked a career‑high 3.2 times per game according to the latest numbers. The ankle injury comes just as the Baltimore Ravens are trying to build momentum; they are currently sitting at 5‑5 and attempting to get back into the playoff picture.

Will Lamar Jackson play against The New York Jets?

To be honest, dear reader, nobody is quite sure.

Coach John Harbaugh didn’t give much away in terms of game participation for Jackson this weekend when asked about his official status: “I know it’s Lamar, it’s our quarterback. I understand how important it is, and it wasn’t his best interest [to] practice today. And we’ll see where we’re at [Thursday].”

Across seven games in 2025, Jackson has completed 117 of 172 passes (68.0 %) for 1,442 yards, 15 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, with a passer rating of 115.5. The Ravens host New York Jets (2-8) this Sunday.
