Update:

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is gearing up for his return to the field after serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

The 24-year-old rejoined team practice this week and is expected to make his season debut this Sunday when the Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM EST.

Chiefs’ receiving corps back at full strength

Head coach Andy Reid confirmed Rice will be active for the Week 7 matchup, joining a now fully loaded receiving unit that includes rookie standout Xavier Worthy and veteran Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. The Chiefs’ offense has been firing on all cylinders lately, averaging 31.6 points over their last three games—coinciding with Worthy’s return from a right shoulder injury.

Rice’s suspension stemmed from a high-profile car crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason that left multiple people injured. In July, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation for his role in the incident. The NFL handed down its disciplinary action shortly after.

A promising talent looking to reignite

Despite a turbulent year, Rice remains one of the Chiefs’ most promising young talents. In 2023, he led all Kansas City receivers with 79 catches for 938 yards and 17 touchdowns. However, his breakout campaign was cut short in Week 4 due to a torn lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in his right knee.
