Rams 35 vs 7 Jaguars summary, stats, scores and highlights | NFL Week 7

Adams and Stafford would cap the tip to London off with a final TD to make it a hat trick for Adams, and an International Series record 5 passing TDs for Stafford. He only threw for 182 yards, on 21/33 passing but five of those completions went for TDs as the Rams improve to 5-2, while the Jags lose their second straight. It wasn't so long ago that we thought the Jags might be a contender after the win over the Chiefs, but they have flopped for the last two weeks. 

IT was a disastrous trip to London for the Jags, but if they come out of it with anything, they can at least be somewhat happy with what Travis Hunter did. He had 101 yards and a receiving TD, his first of his young career. 

The Rams on the other hand, went for it on fourth down just a few minutes later and didn't just convert it, they turned it into a TD as Stafford found Terrrance Ferguson made the catch in the end zone. 

The Rams actually went quiet as they had a string of three and outs to start the 2nd half, but the Jags couldn't take advantage. They went for it on fourth down six times and got stopped on four of them. Their defense also didn't create a turnover, and that spells trouble for the Jags chances for success. 

Adams had two TDs, and Stafford had a hat trick of TD passes in the first half, as the Jags continued to struggle to string anything together. It was 21-0 at the half and the Rams were just getting started. 

The Rams held the Jags to three and outs on both of their first two drives, and Stafford would double the advantage with this pass to Davante Adams TD catch. LA led 14-0 before the Jags got their first TD. 

The Los Angeles Rams made the long trip from LA to London and are coming back with a huge win as they continue to stay at the top of the NFC Standings. Matt Stafford had one of his best games ever against a a Jacksonville defense that was considered one of the best in the league. 

With no Puka Nacua the Rams were going to have to figure out a way to move the ball. It sounded like a problem, but there seemed to be no problem at all for Stafford and the offense. They went right down the field and scored on their first drive as Stafford found Konata Mumpfield for his first TD of the day.

The Los Angeles Rams blow the Jaguars out in London and improve to 5-2.

The Jags had a punt return called back on a block in the back and then Trevor Lawrence got stopped on 4th down inside the LA 10 to keep the Jags off the  board. 

Stafford and Adams hooked up in the end zone for the second time right before the half. Stafford had 127 yards on 15/20 passing and 3 TDs while Adams has 34 yards and two TD catches. 

The Rams defense held JAX to a couple of three and outs, and LA went up 14-0 before the Jags got their first first down. 

It wasn't supposed to be easy for the Rams, who got to London on Friday, and are without their star WR Puka Nacua, but LA have made it look easy so far. Stafford connected on the first of his three first half TDs with this pass to Konata Mumpfield. Eight different Rams have caught a pass from Stafford.

Weather in London

It's a rainy day here from London. Who would have guessed on Sunday afternoon in October it would be a soggy day in the UK? It's football weather for two teams that aren't too used to playing games in the rain. 

No Nacua

The Rams might have won the game against the Ravens last week, but it came at a cost. Their star WR got hurt in that game, and injury will force him to sit today's game in London. That will be a big hit for Stafford and the passing game. He's got 54 receptions and 615 yards, which is 3rd in the league, and a couple of TDs, but LA will be with out their star pass catcher for this massive international matchup. 

RB comparison 

While the QBs will be the big story today, both Stafford and Lawrence need the help of their running game. Kyren Williams had a nightmare of a game against the Niners a couple weeks ago, so he is trying to still make amends for fumbling at the 1 yard line and getting stopped on 4th and 1 in OT. Travis Etienne is Trevor’s biggest asset. If he plays well, the passing game is much more effective, but last week Etienne had just 27 yards. Both of these two RBs are on pace for 1,000 yard seasons, but they knew thy are going to have to have big games tonight. 

Is the West the best?

Could the NFC West be the best division in football? If you forget about the Cardinals who are awful, you have three 4-2 teams at the top of the NFC West. The Rams, Niners and Seahawks have all been fantastic this year, and they will give some of the top teams in the league a run for their money. Only the Bucs at 5-1 and the Packers at 3-1-1 have a better record than the three teams at the top of the NFC West. 

QB Comparison 

All eyes are going to be on the two QBs today from London. Matt Stafford has done and won everything over the course of his career and is in the midst of another fantastic season. He’s got 1,684 yards, and 12 TDs with just two INTs this season. Trevor Lawrence is looking to have a break out year, but his numbers aren’t as staggering as Stafford’s. He’s got 1,324 yards, but has thrown just 8 TDs and had 5 INTs. This was supposed to be his year under new coach Liam Coen, but so far he has yet to take off. The Jags would love it if he were to have his best game of the year today in front of the Wembley crowd.

Jags last game

The Jags were coming off of their biggest win in a long time following their primetime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. People were starting to put the Jags into the “legit” conversation, but then the Jags did what the Jags usually do when people start to believe. They chocked at home against the Seattle Seahawks. The defense failed to force a turnover for the first time all season, and the offense struggled to score. The opened the game with a TD, but, then got shut down until the 4th quarter. A couple of TD passes from Sam Darnold, and two Jason Myers field goals was all it took to take down the Jags. 

Rams last game 

After losing to the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, the Rams travelled to Baltimore to take on a banged up Ravens squad and took care of them without a single worry. It wasn’t the prettiest or the most convincing win, but the defense held the Lamar Jackson-less offense to three points, but it was just 3-3 at halftime. The Rams took three minutes to get into the end zone, and then the defense forced a fumble a play later. Seconds later, Matt Stafford four Tyler Higbee with an 8 yard TD pass to close out the Ravens.

They are still at the top of the AFC South, and have one of the best records in the league but the question remains, are they for real? The Jags will try and prove themselves again against a Rams team that rebounded from their second loss of the season last week.
