Update:

The race tightened across both conferences in Week 11, and the standings delivered a few surprises as teams tried to position themselves for January.

How the AFC is looking after Week 11

Sorting the AFC logjam has become an almost weekly exercise because so many teams are hovering around the middle. Denver survived another close one to stay on top at 9-2, although if you keep an eye on the experts’ odds you’ll see that there are still doubts about their ceiling.

New England and Indianapolis remain right behind, with Buffalo and the Chargers looking like the most convincing wild card threats. Kansas City’s slide to 5-5 is one of the season’s biggest shocks, and Baltimore has fallen into the same mire.

How the NFC is looking after Week 11

The NFC looks clearer at the top where Philadelphia reclaimed the number one seed after grinding out a low-scoring win over Detroit. Los Angeles and Chicago continue to apply pressure, while Seattle and Green Bay look comfortably on track for wild card spots. The 49ers, so often in the mix this time of year and off back of big win over Cardinals, are fighting to stay afloat after an inconsistent autumn.

Super Bowl LX favorites

Oddsmakers continue to favor the Rams and the Eagles to go all the way to February, even though neither team has looked flawless. Seattle, Buffalo and Indianapolis remain credible long shots, while the middle tier grows more crowded with teams that have potential but lack consistency.

As we’ve seen before, there’s plenty of time for teams to make a push as we begin the run-in.
