Micah Parsons’ subtle message to Jerry Jones as Cowboys seek pass-rush help

The Dallas Cowboys’ reported interest in Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby is hilariously ironic. They wouldn’t be shopping for edge help if they hadn’t traded away Micah Parsons. As Dallas searches for answers, Parsons is thriving in Green Bay and just couldn’t resist taking a subtle jab at his old boss.

Cowboys miss Parsons and he knows it

The Packers are 4-1-1 after their Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals. During that game, Parsons drew a rare holding call on a running play and went on a rant about the poor officiating in the NFL. That’s when he made a little jab at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

“Yeah, in the run game, yeah. So I’m pretty decent in the run game,” he said.

The remark was a thinly veiled response to Jones, who defended the trade by claiming the Cowboys needed better run defenders.

Meanwhile, Parsons’ performance is doing most of the talking. He was just named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after a three-sack performance, including four tackles for a loss, eight pressures, and four defensive stops, his fourth game this season with a 90+ pass-rush grade.

While Parsons continues to dominate, Jones and the Cowboys are left scrambling for the very thing they gave up, with the worst-ranked defense in the league.
