Key Kansas City star set for NFL comeback after practice return
Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has participated in his first practice since serving a six-game NFL suspension.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is gearing up for his return to the field after serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Rice took part in his first practice with the team on Wednesday, marking his official comeback after missing the opening third of the season.
Rice to return against Raiders
Head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Rice will make his season debut this weekend, when the Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City is expected to field its full starting wide receiver corps, featuring Rice alongside rookie standout Xavier Worthy and veteran Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.
The Chiefs have been firing on all cylinders offensively, averaging 31.6 points over their last three games - coinciding with Worthy’s return from a right shoulder injury.

Why was Rice suspended?
Rice’s absence stemmed from legal troubles during the 2024 offseason. In July, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation for his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas that left several people injured.
Despite the setback, Rice remains a key piece of Kansas City’s offensive puzzle. In 2023, he led all Chiefs receivers with 79 catches for 938 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2024, the 25-year-old’s campaign was cut short in Week 4 due to a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee.
Raiders vs Chiefs: time, how to watch
