Commanders faced Cowboys without their top wide receivers
Jayden Daniels to throw to Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore, Jaylin Brooke, and Robbie Chosen as Washington’s stars recover from injuries.

The Washington Commanders take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7 of the 2025 season, but the NFC East showdown will be missing some of its star power due to a string of injuries. Dan Quinn’s team has ruled out its three best wide receivers, meaning rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels will have to rely on backups in the passing game.
Deebo Samuel was the latest to be ruled out with a heel injury, despite playing through the issue over the past two weeks. Terry McLaurin remains sidelined with a quadriceps problem, and Noah Brown was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury.
That leaves Daniels throwing to Luke McCaffrey, Chris Moore, Jaylin Brooke, and Robbie Chosen, who was elevated from the practice squad. The Commanders also have Jacoby Jones, Treylon Burks, and Ja’Corey Brooks available on the practice squad, but it’s unlikely any of them will be added to the active roster for the game against Dallas.

Cowboys’ absences against Washington
While the Cowboys will welcome back CeeDee Lamb to boost their offense, the defense will be missing a key piece. Cornerback Trevon Diggs has been ruled out after suffering a concussion in an accident at home.
Concussions are taken seriously in the NFL, and Dallas opted to keep Diggs out as a precaution. In his absence, the Cowboys will rely on Caelen Carson, C.J. Goodwin, DaRon Bland, Kaiir Elam, and Trikweze Bridges to handle coverage duties against Washington.
