Biggest headlines coming into Week 6: NFC East showdown, battle of 4 win teams, Flacco’s debut, Lions-Chiefs, Williams-Daniels
Week 6 kicks off from New York with Jaxson Dart and the Giants taking on the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles who are coming off their first loss.

After five weeks of the regular season, there are no undefeated teams left. The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the last ones standing but this week they look to rebound after losing their first game last Sunday. A couple of 4-1 teams square off from Tampa Bay. Joe Flacco looks to come to the rescue for a sinking Cincy team. The Lions and Chiefs meet in a Sunday night showdown and Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels go head to head for round to of the No. 1 pick vs. No. 2 pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants, Thursday @ 8:15 p.m. ET
The Eagles are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season, and will have to do it against a division rival on the road. The New York Giants are coming off of a terrible second half in New Orleans in which they turned the ball over on five straight possessions and blew a 14-3 first half lead. Saquon Bakley had over 170 rushing yards in his last game against the his former team last season, and has yet to have a break game this season. The planets could be aligning for the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday @ 4:25 p.m. ET
Both of these teams have been banged up to start the season but both teams have overcome their early injuries and they are 4-1 coming into this massive matchup on Sunday from Tampa Bay. The Niners come into town with back up QB Mac Jones looking he’s been in San Fran forever. He led a big OT win over the Rams last week and now he and the Niners have a tough test against another top team in the NFC. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs have been the most entertaining team in the league. Every one of their games has gone down to the wire and Baker has led his team to wins in four of those five games. Sunday’s matinee from the Bay should be another tight one that goes down to the wire.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers, Sunday @ 4:25 p.m. ET
The Green Bay Packers come off their BYE looking to recover some of those sensations they started the season with. After two convincing wins that made everyone a believer in Jordan Love, Micah Parsons and the Pack they lost to the Browns and tied the Cowboys before their week off. They come off their BYE awaiting a wounded Bengals team that made a midseason move for a 40 year old QB out of desperation. Joe Burrow is out until December, Jake Browning isn’t the answer and now they are entrusting Joe Flacco to keep their heads above water until Burrow returns. Flacco is expected to start ASAP, and that could set up a can’t miss game from Lambeau on Sunday.

Flacco is the first QB to be traded within a division in-season since at least 1995 #Whodey https://t.co/5pjlqg2YZx
Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday @ 8:20 p.m. ET
This is another one of those games that people might have been expecting to be an early season Super Bowl preview. The Lions have certainly looked worthy of the “contender” label after losing their opening game. Since then they have been lighting scoreboards up all across the NFL. The Chiefs seem to have found their swag as Xavier Worthy return has brought flashbacks of the KC offense that ripped through the league a few years ago. That wasn’t enough to topple the Jags on Monday night, but the Chiefs will look to rebound on another primetime game on Sunday night in the Motor City.

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders, Monday @ 8:15 p.m. ET
I think we all remember how this match up went last year. The Bears and the Commanders met in what was a low scoring early season match up with the No. 1 and No. 2 overall pick went head to head for the first time. It looked like the Bears were on their way to a big win over the Commanders in Washington when Jayden Daniels tossed a Hail Mary that will be remembered for as long as these two are in the league. The Commanders got Daniels back from injury last week and beat the banged up Chargers while the Bears are coming off of their BYE week following back to back wins over the Cowboys and the Raiders.
