Bengals hit with major injury absence ahead of crucial TNF clash
The Cincinnati Bengals have already suffered a long-term injury to quarterback Joe Burrow and a key defensive piece has now been ruled another.

The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to bounce back from Sunday’s 27-18 loss to the Green Bay Packers this evening, when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
In the hours leading up to the game the Bengals have been hit with another key injury, losing defensive tackle Trey Hendrickson to a hip/back injury. On Thursday afternoon ESPN reported that Hendrickson would not feature against the Steelers having not practiced all week.
Hendrickson suffered a hip injury in the the first half of last weekend’s defeat and did not feature in the second half against Green Bay. The 2-4 Bengals will miss their most productive defensive weapon, having seen him put up 17.5 sacks in each of the last two seasons. This year Hendrickson leads the Bengals again with four sacks in six games.

The Hendrickson injury update is the latest piece of injury concern for Cincinnati, following the unfortunate injury to starting quarterback Joe Burrow. The 28-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during the Week 2 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars and underwent surgery soon after.
Burrow is set for a spell of at least three months on the sidelines, which could take him up to the Week 16 meeting with the Miami Dolphins. In his place, the Bengals have traded for veteran QB Joe Flacco, who made his first appearance for the team against the Packers last weekend.
