Bears steal it at the buzzer after Monday Night Football doubleheader drama
Jake Moody’s late field goal gave the Bears a dramatic 25–22 win over Washington after a wild Monday Night Football doubleheader.

A dramatic doubleheader brought two contrasting stories on Monday night. The Buffalo Bills fell 24–14 to the Atlanta Falcons in what was one of the week’s most thrilling matchups. Later, the Chicago Bears edged out the Washington Commanders 25–24 at Northwest Stadium thanks to a last-second field goal.

Chicago sealed the win with Jake Moody’s clutch 38-yard kick in the dying seconds. Washington had a chance to take the lead earlier, but quarterback Jayden Daniels fumbled the handoff to running back Jackory Croskey-Merritt on the previous drive.
Caleb Williams went 17 of 29 for 252 yards and a touchdown, while Daniels completed 19 of 26 passes for 211 yards, throwing three touchdowns but also suffering an interception.
