Update:

The Baltimore Ravens look set to breathe a sigh of relief with star quarterback Lamar Jackson expected to shake off a knee problem and start Sunday’s Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Jackson cleared by Ravens after midweek concern

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Jackson was “full go” for the visit to Cleveland. His availability had been in question after he missed practice on Wednesday because of “some soreness” in his knee, an issue that came up in the Week 10 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Baltimore’s early-season struggles tied to Jackson’s absence

Jackson previously missed three games because of a hamstring injury sustained in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. That absence played a role in a rough start for the Ravens, who opened the season 1-5. They now appear to have turned the corner with three straight victories, the last two with Jackson back under center.

Despite a 4-5 record, Baltimore sits in second place in the AFC North, one game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What’s at stake in Week 11 for the Ravens?

A victory in Ohio would help the Ravens create more separation from the Browns (2-7), who are divisional rivals. It could also allow Baltimore to pull even with the Steelers if Pittsburgh loses to the Cincinnati Bengals (3-6), another AFC North opponent.

The Ravens enter Week 11 one game behind the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4), who currently hold the final AFC wildcard spot.
