Aaron Rodgers has an unbelievable start to his Steelers career on first day of passing drills
The Pittsburgh Steelers are all in this year. They brought in a couple of high profile defensive backs, signed T.J. Watt and signed QB Aaron Rodgers.

It’s been a long time coming for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They haven’t had a quarterback, or an offense worth a damn since Ben Roethlisberger retired in 2021. Aaron Rodgers is supposed to restore order in the Steele City, but his first throw didn’t settle any nerves for those who wave the Terrible Towel.
Not so warm welcome for Rodgers
The Steelers opened up training camp this week, and on Thursday we finally got to see Aaron Rodgers, taking snaps and throwing passes. His first pass in 11 vs. 11 drills couldn’t have gone less to plan. While it may not be the best look, it might be

The four time MVP tossed a pick to Patrick Queen on his first pass as a Steeler. It may be the first but it won’t be the last pick he will throw in Pittsburgh. It was going to happen at some point, but the timing could have been better after a long game of cat and mouse between him and the Steelers during the offseason.
In early June, after months of speculation the former Super Bowl champ finally signed a deal with the Steelers after parting ways with the New York Jets at the end of last season. There were whispers of Rodgers considering retirement, but it always seemed like a matter of time before he signed in Pittsburgh.
Return of the Steele Curtain?
The Steelers let Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, their two quarterbacks from last year walk, and put all their chips in the Aaron Rodgers basket. In the end, the two sides agreed on a one-year deal worth, $13.65 million. The 41 year old has a year maybe two left in the tank, and both he and the Steelers have one thing on their minds: Super Bowl.

While the pick may not have been the best way to start camp, Rodgers who has been playing in this league since 2005, will shake that off, and carry on with his Hall of Fame career. If anything, seeing Rodgers get picked maybe a good sign after revamping the defense over the offseason.
T.J. Watt got the headlines after signing a record breaking deal, but the Steelers brought in Jalen Ramsey from the Miami Dolphins and Darius Slay form the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. On the other side of the ball it’s Rodgers and DK Metcalf looking to come in and ignite an offense that has been responsible for the Steelers shortcomings over the few years. They haven’t won a playoff game since January 2017. Pittsburgh is desperate to change that this year.
