“A caged animal” - CeeDee Lamb raves about George Pickens

Arguably one of the Dallas Cowboys’ best offseason moves was the addition of wide receiver George Pickens. Although he was problematic off the field with the Pittsburgh Steelers, there’s a lot of excitement about how he’s fitting in with the team in Dallas even early on.

Pickens is expected to complete a dynamic duo alongside star receiver CeeDee Lamb, and Lamb himself has been singing his praises since day one. But after the start of training camp, he’s even more excited about having him on the field.

CeeDee sees long future with Pickens

Now that quarterback Dak Prescott is healthy again, the Cowboys are looking to revitalize the passing game. CeeDee called Pickens an “incredible athlete” and expressed excitement about their future together.

“I’m glad he’s here. He knows I love him,” Lamb said. “I tell him every day that I’m happy for him. I hope we go together for X amount of years. I don’t care. I just know we’re not fitting to do this for (only) one.”

“His ability to go up and get the ball, you guys haven’t seen it yet. But those days are literally coming. He’s like a caged animal. And so am I.”

Early on in his career, Lamb played alongside receiver Amari Cooper, but since then, he hasn’t really had another player of that caliber next to him. Now, it seems he does. With Pickens entering a contract year, his strong start in Dallas could mark a turning point in his NFL journey.
