Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler “wiped out” for the Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have had a busy start to the 2025/26 season and head coach Steve Kerr believes his team is feeling the effects.

It’s been a busy start for the Golden State Warriors and the team looks to be feeling the consequences with a series of fitness concerns.
The Warriors take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night but may well be without a number of key players. Ahead of tip-off Stephen Curry was ruled out, while Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler have been listed as questionable.
Curry is struggling with a cold that has worsened this week. Green has a right rib contusion, while Butler was taken off with a tweaked lower back in the first half of the win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
Steph Curry said his “gas tank was on E” in the second half due to his cold. He said he was going to see the team doctors before officially deciding whether to travel/play vs Kings tomorrow night, but sounds unlikely. pic.twitter.com/1ADxuyeMeR

Speaking ahead of the Kings game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that his players had been “wiped out” by a relentless schedule at the start of the 2025/26 season.
“When all is said and done, of our first 15 games, I think they’ll come in 26 days in 10 different cities,” Kerr said. “To ask our players to sprint - full court pressure, either dealing with it or applying it, racing out to the 3-point line, covering 3-point shooters and then playing at this tempo - it’s dramatically different from what it was 20 years ago.”
For the Warriors’ veteran superstars, this punishing schedule appears to be having a detrimental effect. Both Butler and Green and 35 years old, while Curry is 37. Still early in the season, the aging Warriors roster is already starting to struggle with the relentless pace.
