Update:

With just one game remaining in the 2025 WNBA regular season, the Golden State Valkyries have already guaranteed postseason action as they currently occupy sixth place in the standings.

It’s been a remarkable debut for the new franchise both on and off the court with the team having broken several all-time Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) attendance records in just their first regular season.

The Valkyries managed to sell-out every one of their 22 home games at Chase Center in San Francisco, including their final home game of the regular season against the Minnesota Lynx. This adds up to 397,408 fans attending their fixtures in the 2025 season, a figure which eclipses the previous record set by the Caitlin Clark led Indiana Fever last season (340,715).

The California team also set a new league record for average attendance, with a total of 18,064 fans showing up to each home game. A figure which, once again beat the previous record held by the Fever in 2024 when they averaged crowds of 17,036 fans for games at the Ganibridge Fieldhouse.
