Who is congressman Dave Taylor? American flag with swastika found in Capitol Hill office
An investigation is underway after a staff photo showed an altered U.S. flag with a swastika hanging inside Rep. Dave Taylor’s Capitol Hill office.

U.S. Capitol Police are investigating after an American flag that had been altered to depict a swastika was found in the Capitol Hill office of Rep. Dave Taylor, a Republican congressman from Ohio.
A photo reportedly taken during a Zoom call with Taylor’s staffer, Angelo Elia, shows that red and white stripes had been rearranged to form a swastika, widely recognized as a symbol of the German Nazi Party.
Taylor condemns “vile and deeply inappropriate symbol”
“I am aware of an image that appears to depict a vile and deeply inappropriate symbol near an employee in my office,” Taylor said in a statement. “The content of that image does not reflect the values or standards of this office, my staff, or myself, and I condemn it in the strongest terms. Upon learning of this matter, I immediately directed a thorough investigation alongside Capitol Police, which remains ongoing. No further comment will be provided until it has been completed.”
