What we know about Elon Musk and his alleged connection to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell
Here’s what we know about Elon Musk’s alleged connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

Like a leaky drainpipe, or Chinese water torture, new information regarding Jeffrey Epstein — the now-dead sexual predator known for his links to high society — continues to find its way into the media.
Whether it’s new names, old birthday cards, or blurry video footage, reporters across the globe always manage to get their hands on revelations regarding the former financier, despite efforts from his best friend to stop the flow.
The latest twist in the tale comes in the form of someone we might not have expected: Elon Musk. Like Epstein, Musk was a former friend of Trump, as the South African was charged with leading DOGE in its failed mission into the communities across America to cut funding and save cash. It was a terrible failure, and those who lost their jobs have been given the chance to get them back. Musk, on the other hand, is out of one.
It was here, during his break-up with Trump (another similarity to Epstein) where Musk hit out on social media to reveal that the president’s name was allegedly in the famous ‘Epstein Files’, the secret lists of all the pedophile’s contacts, so talked about that they deserve capitalisation as per proper nouns.
But here’s the twist: it turns out Musk himself appears in the Epstein Files. Last week, Politico revealed documents that alleged the financier “had ties with President Donald Trump’s former adviser Elon Musk.”
The documents “were delivered to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and published,” say the report. In one of the files Musk’s name appears, alongside a comment of “is this still happening?”, referring to what Politico call “a tentative trip to Epstein’s island on Dec. 6, 2014.”
The date of the alleged meeting is significant: Epstein was already registered as a sex offender by this point, having pleaded guilty to charges of solicitation of prostitution and of solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18 in 2008.

As well as knowing Epstein, it turns out Musk also knew Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former partner and convicted sex trafficker. A photo emerged of the two, with reports suggesting WireImage photographer Kevin Mazur captured the photo of Musk and Maxwell at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 2, 2014.
In 2020, years after the photo had been in circulation on the internet, someone asked Musk about it online, to which he replied: “Don’t know Ghislaine at all. She photobombed me once at a Vanity Fair party several years ago. Real question is why VF invited her in the first place.”
Musk also told Vanity Fair in 2019 that “Epstein is obviously a creep,” adding “He tried repeatedly to get me to visit his island” and that “I declined.”
But it gets deeper. Maxwell herself told the DOJ’s Todd Blanche this year that Musk partied in the Caribbean with her: “We went to another friend’s island... not with Epstein, he was not there... we were there together for... three or four days... And Mr. Musk was present for that.”

While we obviously have no evidence of foul play from Mr Musk in any sense, the story that the three had a connection with each other, as much as it gets played down by the South African, appears to be there when looking at the allegations.
