Trump is not going to be happy with the latest presidential job approval ratings

Despite what he’ll tell you, it turns out that Trump’s return to power hasn’t been the victory he claims it to be.

Update:

Of course, in today’s modern world, everyone can have their own facts. Truth is no longer the yardstick where opinion ends, and reality is as twistable as the plastic head on an Action Man.

But dig an inch beneath the AI-generated excrement that Trump is dumping onto the U.S. from a fighter jet (see the tweet below), and you uncover the real motives behind what he’s doing to the population of the country he is running like a simulation.

The live poll tracker from the Associated Press currently sits at 69% for people who think that the country is moving in “the wrong direction.” Just 30% believe things are going well.

AP writes that “Americans have been in a pessimistic mood about the country’s direction for several years. About seven in ten U.S. adults now say the country is heading in the wrong direction," adding that the number dropped “slightly” after far-right activist Charlie Kirk was killed. At that point, it says, “about three-quarters said the country was going in the wrong direction.”

As for the Presidential job approval rating, the number flits at around 60% for people who disapprove of the way in which the former reality TV show host is running the country. On the contrary, just over 35% of people agree with how he is performing his duty as president, which presumably includes playing golf while the people stage the largest set of synchronised protests in modern American history.

Rather telling are the numbers regarding favourable or unfavourable opinions of Trump as a whole. The cultish MAGA movement has tapped into regions of the brain that seem to cause people to think one way or another despite the evidence, with his nefarious tactics being copied by right-wing leaders the world over. At present, despite groceries being higher than ever before, jobs being cut across the country, and a general feeling of ill will to anyone who isn’t white, Trump’s ‘favourable’ rating still sits at around 40%.

“Americans’ opinions about Trump have barely shifted over the past few years,” writes AP. “The consistency of his favourability rating underscores just how difficult it is to change Americans’ minds about him.”
