The reason why Sam’s Club warehouses have changed their Sunday opening hours
Here’s the details behind the change to Sam’s Club warehouses opening hours.
As of Sunday, October 12, the Sam’s Club warehouse chain is increasing its store hours across the United States, giving Sunday customers more time to browse.
The company said the change follows “overwhelming feedback” from members who wanted longer operating hours heading into the busy holiday season.
The biggest shift comes on Sundays, when most Sam’s Club locations will now open earlier and close later than before. Instead of the traditional 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule, stores will align with weekday hours, operating from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Those with a Plus membership will still get a head start, with their exclusive early shopping window now running from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., giving those who pay for it a quieter hour to shop before the general madness ensues. The cafe opening hours are also getting a facelift: opening at 10 a.m. and staying on until 8 p.m.
In addition to the extended shopping hours for those in a hurry, the curbside pickup service will also begin earlier on Sundays, starting at 7 a.m., while fuel stations at various locations across the country will open at 6 a.m. and run until 10 p.m.
The holiday hours are also being ramped up. On days like Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and New Year’s Eve, most stores will now stay open until 8 p.m. instead of closing early. However, the company is keeping its long-standing closures on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, keeping up its tradition of giving employees their much-deserved annual breaks.
