Texas homeowner shocked to find what was living in a discarded suitcase
An old suitcase was found in a Texas basement. Inside was a very striking natural phenomenon.

Who hasn’t, at some point, discovered something in their home they didn’t even know they had? We’ve all opened a drawer and stumbled across a forgotten letter or an object we thought was lost for good. But the story in this article—and especially its outcome—is nothing like those ordinary rediscoveries.
It happened in Texas, when someone found an old suitcase in the basement of their house. Curious about what might be inside, they opened it. What they found was completely unexpected: a beehive.
The person contacted Texas Beeworks, a company that specializes in bee relocation, to find out what to do. Erika Thompson, a bee expert from the company, arrived at the house and, as soon as she opened the suitcase, a swarm of bees flew out. The sight was so striking that she decided to post a photo of the suitcase on her social media.
Thompson then carefully moved the suitcase and relocated the bees to a new hive that was better suited to their needs. To help with the transfer, she used a bit of smoke, which encouraged the bees to settle into their new home—“because they knew it was a better place to live,” she explained.
The entire colony, including the queen bee—whom Thompson had been particularly concerned about—successfully made the move. “It was another great day saving the bees,” she celebrated in a video.
