Recall alert: These frozen meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s may be contaminated with listeria
USDA recalls Walmart and Trader Joe’s frozen meals over potential listeria contamination, urging consumers to discard products and sanitize surfaces.

Frozen ready-to-eat meals sold by Walmart and Trader Joe’s have been recalled by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) over possible listeria contamination.
The products involved are Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara Sauce, sold at Walmart, and Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo, sold at Trader Joe’s.
While these items are no longer on sale, consumers may still have them in their freezers or refrigerators. If you have the affected products, do not consume them. They should be discarded or returned to the store where purchased. The CDC also recommends cleaning any surfaces the products may have touched.

Symptoms of listeria
Listeria is a potentially deadly bacteria that poses serious risks for vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and sometimes diarrhea or other gastrointestinal issues. In severe cases, infection may cause miscarriage or even death.
