Not even in the top 20: No airline company from the U.S. ranks in the prestigious list of world fliers
The Skytrax World’s Top 100 Airlines in 2025 have been revealed with an absence of US carriers.
Rankings of the world’s top airlines can be a subjective matter and can vary depending on the organization conducting the survey and the criteria used (e.g., passenger surveys, safety records, pricing, on-time performance, in-flight service). However, based on recent rankings from Skytrax, here is a list of the top 20 airlines.
Asian based carriers lead the way with eight of the the top ten based in central and Eastern Asia.
Just two European carriers (Turkish and Air France) feature in the top ten and there is a conspicuous lack of U.S. carriers in the overall top 20.
