José Félix Díaz, new editorial director of AS
Díaz, who will report to the General Directorate of Sports of PRISA Media, will be responsible for the editions in Spain and the American continent.

Aloysio Araujo, Director General of Sports at PRISA Media, has appointed José Félix Díaz as the new Director of Content for AS.
Díaz brings more than 35 years of experience in sports journalism. He began his career at Marca, where he spent 19 years and held various positions, including Head of Sports and Head of Football. From 2009 to 2014, he led the Sports section at El Confidencial before returning to Marca. Over the years, he has also collaborated with several major sports media outlets and programs, including El Chiringuito, Movistar, and TVE.
Araujo highlighted Díaz’s extensive experience, saying: “We worked together in a previous role, and I greatly value his background across different formats—print, television, and radio—as well as his leadership skills. Our goal is to accelerate the multimedia transformation that the market demands, reach new audiences, and deliver both in Spain and the Americas an information and entertainment experience worthy of our brand. The great advantage is that AS already has the name and the team to lead the sector.”
The former director of AS, Vicente Jiménez, is embarking on a new professional chapter outside the Group.
PRISA Vice President and CEO of PRISA Media, Pilar Gil, praised Jiménez’s tenure: “Vicente has been an example of professionalism and talent throughout these years, and his contribution to what we have become at EL PAÍS, SER, and AS has been extraordinary.”
