It’s not Halloween just yet, but these decorations and displays are already getting people’s attention
While some people stick to traditional Halloween decorations, others go all out drawing crowds and sometimes even prompting a call to 911.

There are some people who take celebrating holidays to a whole different level, decking out their homes with over-the-top decorations. These not only attract crowds, but in the case of one for Halloween this year, calls to 911 due to how real it looks.
Sam Lee and Amanda Riggins Peden, of Fountain Inn, Sout Carolina, who stun their neighbors with incredibly creative Halloween decorations every year, went above and beyond this year. Their home appears to be engulfed in flames with billows smoke pouring out from the roof over the porch.
Fortunately, the city’s fire department was given a heads up before the spectacular display was activated on 3 October. They’ve also asked people not to call 911, but still there have still been a few that didn’t get the message.
While emergency services are aware, they still send a truck out just in case a real fire has started. The Fountain Inn Fire Department is also using the ‘Fire House’ Halloween display to raise awareness about fire safety on their Facebook page.

Other Halloween displays drawing attention
The owner of a mansion in Preston Hallow, north of Dallas, Texas, is drawing the ire of some of his neighbors after they saw the colossal Halloween display that he set up in his front yard. They are concerned that it will attract massive crowds like his Christmas display did last year.
District 13 council member Gay Donnell Willis told the local NBC station that she’ll bring the issue up at the next meeting of the Quality of Life committee to look at imposing stronger regulations. The Christmas display cost the city $25,000 to have police on duty to control traffic issues after it went viral on social media.
Other neighbors are more laidback about the display and understand the draw of it. One couple told the news outlet that they just hope that people will be civic and not leave their trash, including baby diapers, on the street and yards.
