He orders a Coca-Cola in Paris and when they tell him how much he almost faints
A Spanish influencer traveled to the French capital, where he paid an extraordinary price for a Coca-Cola.
Paris is known not only for its iconic Eiffel Tower but also for being one of the most expensive cities in the world. Content creator Noel Horcajada recently traveled there and ran straight into that reality. Noel, who usually shares videos about food — trying different dishes and restaurants — didn’t expect that during one of his meals, the Coca-Cola would cost more than the main course.
During his recent trip to the French capital, he posted a video explaining what he was charged at a bar for a simple soft drink: “€6.60 for a Coca-Cola,” he said in disbelief, showing the camera the receipt from his meal. Right at the start of the video, he gives a piece of advice to his followers: “When you come to Paris, never, ever order regular water — always ask for bottled water.”
Still looking shocked, he goes on to point out that even airports don’t charge that much, despite their reputation for inflated prices. But his frustration isn’t limited to Coca-Cola. Noel explains that even if he had ordered water instead, he would have still ended up paying around six euros.
He mentions that this “rip-off” happened at L’Entrecôte, a restaurant that follows a very simple concept: a minimal menu with only a few choices — and yet, lines of customers stretching out the door. “How much do they have to mark up their drinks to reach those prices?” he wonders aloud.
