Estados Unidos Update:

Jimmy Kimmel made a dramatic on-air return this week after ABC temporarily pulled his show following controversial remarks about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Minutes before Kimmel’s comeback, former President Donald Trump posted a blistering message on Truth Social — accusing ABC of bias, calling Kimmel a Democratic plant and threatening to “test” the network legally.

What happened — the short version

ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Kimmel’s monologue, which criticized how some conservatives responded to Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The network later announced it would reinstate the show; Kimmel returned to the air with an emotional monologue defending free speech. At the same time, Nexstar and Sinclair which own a number of local ABC stations said they continue to preempt the program.

What Trump wrote on Truth Social

On Truth Social, Trump wrote that he “can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back,” claiming the White House had been told Kimmel’s show was canceled and suggesting ABC reversed course for unclear reasons. He accused Kimmel of airing “99% positive Democrat GARBAGE,” called the network “a true bunch of losers,” and warned he might pursue legal action against ABC — referencing a past legal outcome in which ABC paid $16 million.

“This one sounds even more lucrative,” he added.
