Update:

Price increases and streaming services go together like Mickey and Minnie Mouse. And yep, you guessed it — Disney is once again raising the price of its Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions for U.S. customers.

Disney price hikes coming in October

Subscribers to the standalone Disney+ service will see a $2 hike, from $9.99 to $11.99 per month. Hulu on its own is seeing the same increase, also rising from $9.99 to $11.99 per month.

Meanwhile, the Disney+ and Hulu bundle (with ads) goes from $10.99 to $12.99, matching that same $2 bump.

The Trio Basic bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN with ads, is going up $3 to $19.99, from $16.99.

Are the premium Disney+ and Hulu services going up?

Hulu’s premium ad-free plan is staying put at $18.99 per month, but Disney+ Premium is jumping by $3, from $15.99 to $18.99 — nearly a 20% increase.

The House of Mouse clearly wants you to consider the ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle, which remains unchanged at $19.99 per month.

The Trio Premium bundle, made up of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN with no ads, is going up $3, from $26.99 to $29.99.

When do the price hikes take effect?

The new prices take effect on October 21, 2025.

Disney’s history of price increases

Since its launch in November 2019 at $6.99 per month, Disney+ has steadily raised prices in the U.S. as it’s expanded content and introduced new tiers. The first hike came in March 2021, when the monthly fee rose to $7.99. In December 2022, Disney introduced a cheaper ad-supported plan and simultaneously raised the ad-free tier to $10.99. Another major increase arrived in October 2023, pushing the premium plan to $13.99, followed by another in October 2024, when it climbed to $15.99. The latest round marks the fourth consecutive year of price hikes for the streaming giant.
