Famous American film star Diane Keaton has died at the age of 79.
The Oscar-nominated star was well known across the entertainment world, having moved from acting through various roles as both a director and producer.
Her first break in the world of acting came in the form of Woody Allen’s Broadway show Play It Again, Sam, which premiered in 1969.
Most notably across her long career, she starred in the 1977 romantic comedy “Annie Hall”, which saw her pick up an Oscar. She was also Oscar-nominated for best actress for “Reds,” “Something’s Gotta Give” and “Marvin’s Room.”
One of her most notable roles was as Kay Adams, the girlfriend of mobster Michael Corleone (Al Pacino), in “The Godfather” (1972) and “The Godfather Part II” (1974).
Some of her credits include: “Something’s Gotta Give,” “First Wives Club,” “Father of the Bride,” “Book Club,” “Baby Boom,” and “Hanging Up”.
