Update:

The Texas A&M Police Department was kept busy once again on Saturday when the Aggies took on Florida at Kyle Field. Some of the 12th Man crew were celebrating a little too much even before the game ended, missing the end of the game which saw A&M give the Gators 34-17 thumping, to go undefeated 6-0 this season.

In all there were at least 15 incidents involving alcohol that police reported on their X account, the posts from which have almost become as entertaining as the action on the field.

A&M police turn person over to EMS with sandwich and blood-alcohol level 4 times the legal limit

Every game the Texas A&M police keep the public informed about the gameday escapades and shenanigans that go on around and within Kyle Field. Posts about fans that get out of hand inside the stadium typically end with them being released to someone “sober,” be it a friend, parent, or last year, wife and “Ejected.”

On Saturday, one of the posts drew outsized attention as the person was found in Aggie Park “eating a sandwich with a water jug of whiskey.” Furthermore, they had a blood alcohol content of .337, that is four times the legal limit for driving and above the level that could lead to onset of a coma and possibility of acute alcohol poisoning.

So, it should come as no surprise that one person asked “is this really the number or a typo?” The Texas A&M police responded, “It is correct. That is why EMS was called,” to whom they released the individual.

Other embarrassing highlights from Saturday’s game with Florida was a person who kept trying to enter the Legacy Lounge without credentials. They were handed over to a sober friend and ejected.

Another stumbling individual stopped by officers gave them the wrong date of birth three times. The person was arrested.

Several underage drinkers tried to sneak beer into the game in their pockets, one went big with 3 cans of beer and one of twisted tea. They were all given citations and ejected.

One minor walking on Kimbrough Boulevard decided to drop his two red solo cups when he spotted officers. A girl tried to hide from the police in a tent in parking lot 102 when caught holding a can of twisted tea, who “stated she was ‘holding it for a friend.’” They were both given a citation.

And one girl was seen stumbling through Kyle Field Plaza and stopped by officers. When asked for her ID she gave them her credit card. She was released to her sober mother.
