Costco to open new stores in the US in October: Check out the list of locations
Costco is expanding again with new locations set to open this month in three states and one in Canada. Here’s where shoppers can find the new stores.
Costco is on the move once more, bringing fresh opportunities for shoppers who love the wholesale giant’s unbeatable deals. The company has announced several new store openings across North America this October, including three locations in the United States.
The membership-only retailer, known for offering a wide variety of products at competitive prices, in its latest expansion in August included new warehouses in Washington, Texas, Florida, and Nevada. Additional stores also opened in Mexico and Canada, with more launches planned for this month.
Why Costco is expanding so quickly
Costco isn’t slowing down. With millions of members worldwide, the company’s leadership has made it clear that expansion is a top priority. Back in March, Chief Financial Officer Gary Millerchip confirmed that the retailer’s long-term strategy includes opening 25 to 30 new locations each year. Roughly half of those will be in the U.S., while the rest will target growing international markets.

Costco’s new branches
Costco announced and listed the seven locations on its website, along with the expected opening date for their new branches this October.
- Mississauga, Ontario Business Center, Canada - Opening October 28
- Fruitport, Michigan - Opening October 29
- Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania - Opening October 30
- Indian Land, South Carolina - Opening October 31

- Highland, California
- Sharon, Massachusetts
- Genesee County, Michigan
- Prosper, Texas
- Weatherford, Texas
- Stuart, Florida
- Ardeer, Australia
- Minami Alps, Japan
