Update:

Paris Jackson is making headlines following her Tik Tok video where she deals with the matter of substance abuse.

The 27-year-old, who claims to have been sober for six years, said she’s lived with nasal damage since her early 20s. She doesn’t plan to undergo corrective surgery, though, explaining, “You have to take pills when you have a surgery that gnarly,” and she didn’t want to do that. Still, she admitted the condition can be “a bitch” in the recording studio, before lightening the tone by joking she could “thread a spaghetti noodle through it.”

The only daughter of the “King of Pop” was born in April 1998 and is one of two children Michael had with Debbie Rowe, his second wife. Paris was raised by her father at Neverland Ranch until his passing in 2009. Following Jackson’s death, she and her brothers, Prince and Bigi, were cared for by their grandmother Katherine and cousin TJ.

Who is Debbie Rowe?

Paris Jackson’s mother is Debbie Rowe and she was a dermatology nurse’s assistant who treated Michael Jackson for vitiligo starting in the mid-1980s, and they became close friends.

Following Michael Jackson’s divorce from his first wife, he married a pregnant Debbie Rowe in November 1996. They had two children together: Michael Joseph “Prince” Jackson, Jr. and Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson.

Their relationship was often speculated to be non-traditional, with some reports suggesting it was an “economic” transaction for Rowe, as Jackson wanted children. Sources indicate Rowe had a crush on him, but their relationship was often described as a deep platonic friendship rather than a romantic love, and the marriage was partly spurred by Michael’s desire to have children and pressure to avoid having them out of wedlock.

Jackson and Rowe divorced in April 2000. Rowe gave full custody rights of the children to Michael Jackson.
