When does ‘Landman’ season 2 come out? What we know about the release date and returning cast
Fans are buzzing with excitement as Landman gears up for its highly anticipated second season. After the gritty, character-driven drama of Season 1 captivated audiences with its deep dive into the rough-and-tumble world of West Texas oil, viewers are eager to see where the story heads next.
Season 2 was officially greenlit on March 12, 2025, with production kicking off soon after. Warner also confirmed on April 2 that principal photography was underway.
Now we have an official date for the premiere of season 2: Sunday, Nov. 16. We also found out that Sam Elliot will be part of the cast this time around.

The big news is that Sam Elliott is joining Season 2 of Landman, as confirmed by Paramount in a press release a few months ago. However, we don’t know what the role of the Road House star will be as yet, as it’s being kept close to the chest of the directors and writers.
Jon Hamm only signed on for one season and will not be returning to Landman, which is a good thing for the writers, who don’t have to explain how the character would have come back from the dead.
