Update:

The Recording Academy officially kicked off Grammy season this weekend by announcing the nominees for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, celebrating the best music released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025. So unfortunately, that means Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, which was released on October 3, just missed the cut for this year but could be in the running for the next edition.

Who tops the 2026 Grammy nominees?

Kendrick Lamar, who picked up five awards last time around, leads with nine nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for his collaboration with SZA, Luther. It brings his total career nominations to 66, including 22 wins.

Lady Gaga follows with seven nominations, including major categories for her album Mayhem and the hit single Abracadabra.

Sabrina Carpenter meanwhile gained six nods, including Song of the Year for Manchild. Rosé of BLACKPINK makes her Grammy debut with three nominations, including Record of the Year for APT. featuring Bruno Mars. Other contenders include Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, Doechii, and Leon Thomas.

There are two new categories introduced by the Academy for the 2026 Grammys: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover.

When in the 2026 Grammys ceremony?

The 2026 Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 1 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and will air live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ from 8 p.m. ET.
